Artist & Founder of Master Framers Gallery

A professional artist whose passion for painting began at the early age of 10. Over the decades, he has cultivated a deep connection with abstract and contemporary art, exploring dynamic angles, textured layers, and bold color combinations. His work is rooted in emotion and movement—creating a visual language that speaks beyond the canvas.

Founder

Master Framers Gallery, now located in Battaramulla, is a showcase not only for his original artworks but also selected pieces from renowned international artists such as Pablo Picasso (edition), Dale TerBush, Hessam Abrishami, Mohammad Sabzi, Roland van Meerbeeck, Gunn, Tabora, and Sri Lankan legends like George Keyt and Stanley Kirinde. Master Framers is also proud to be Sri Lanka's largest wooden frame manufacturer, offering more than 300 custom frame options.

Experiences

In 1994
He pursued a diploma in Interior Design in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which led to a 13-year-long career in the design field. His experience with space and form continues to influence his approach to composition and aesthetics in art.
In 2009
He opened his first gallery, Olean Art Gallery, in Kandana, Sri Lanka. In 2013, he was presented with an incredible opportunity to live in California, USA, where he met Mr. Robert Coleman, owner of a prestigious family-run gallery. This connection shaped the next phase of his artistic journey.
In 2015
He established Master Framers Gallery in Yakkala. The gallery quickly became known for its high-quality framing services and exclusive commissioned art. Though briefly closed during the pandemic, he reopened the gallery in Malabe in 2021, focusing on producing and showcasing his work both locally and internationally.
To date
He has sold over 40 large-scale contemporary abstract works to Gallery 612 in Los Angeles, California, and continues to work with international collectors.
